Application engineering note

AC cross-flow fan assembly with a metal tangential impeller and end-mounted motor
Representative AC cross-flow fan; model and application details are listed below.

A cross flow fan and an outlet heater need a coordinated layout, electrical specification and equipment control design. LONGWELL’s LWCA-40270SN-06-00 fan drawing and LWHW-AC40270S-01 heater drawing provide two component references for this integration work.

Keep the component ratings separate

Component drawingSupplyPower shown
LWCA-40270SN-06-00 fan220 VAC, 50 Hz13 W
LWHW-AC40270S-01 outlet heater220 V, 50 Hz2500 W

The fan sheet specifies a speed of 2050 ± 150 r/min and ball bearings. Its air-volume field is unfilled, so the airflow available through the heating section requires separate performance data. The heater’s 2500 W rating describes the heating component.

Check the assembled layout

The fan drawing shows the impeller, housing, motor and fixing points. The heater drawing identifies installation at the air outlet and shows a 285 mm dimension along the heating body. Compare both drawings against the proposed enclosure, outlet opening and mounting arrangement.

Agree the required airflow through the heating section, the expected temperatures at the fan and the equipment’s operating modes. Include the heater controls and protection requirements in the equipment specification. Fan and heater component drawings are inputs to the complete assembly design; its airflow, heating and protection functions need their own agreed evaluation.

Discuss your fan requirement

Send LONGWELL your airflow and pressure duty point, power supply, available installation space, control requirements, operating environment and drawings. Contact our engineering team to discuss a suitable configuration.

Choose the right cross flow fan

Longwell manufactures 495 cross flow fans in-house. Send airflow, static pressure and voltage — an engineer replies with a matching model, performance curve and price within one working day.
