AC duct fans are plastic or metal in-line units running on AC mains with no extra electronics, for fixed-speed bathroom, utility and commercial extract. They clip into a duct run and pull moisture or stale air out before it stains or stagnates. For a constant-speed job the AC version beats EC on installed cost and simplicity.
