Match the blower family to your equipment
LONGWELL supplies fan and blower configurations for equipment manufacturers developing air-handling units, packaged HVAC equipment, air-side data-center cooling and industrial ventilation. Start with the installed duty point and layout, then review the impeller, drive and motor configuration together.
| LONGWELL family | Configuration | Typical equipment application | Integration details to review |
|---|---|---|---|
| DD / DDM | Direct-driven, forward-curved centrifugal blowers | Fan-coil units, packaged air conditioning and AHUs | Required airflow and pressure, inlet arrangement, motor supply and cabinet space |
| AT | Belt-driven, forward-curved centrifugal blowers | AHU fan sections and projects using an external motor and belt drive | Motor and drive selection, pulley ratio, discharge orientation and service access |
| RLM / EC plug fans | Backward-curved configurations, including casingless plug-fan arrangements | AHU plenums and CRAH/CRAC air-side cooling equipment | Inlet clearance, plenum geometry, mounting frame, speed commands and feedback |
| REM / TEM | Backward-curved centrifugal blower families | HVAC and equipment air paths with filters, coils or duct resistance | Performance across the operating range, motor/controller configuration and acoustic limits |
Compare the exact model’s curve, drawing and electrical specification with your equipment requirements. Use the LONGWELL Fan Selector to explore models, or browse the product catalogs and drawings.
Specifications to send for an OEM blower proposal
A useful blower specification pairs airflow with pressure at the same operating condition. Send the requirements below, together with a system sketch, existing model number or installation drawing when available.
| Specification | What to provide | Engineering review |
|---|---|---|
| Airflow and pressure | Required m³/h or CFM, pressure in Pa or in. w.g., and whether the pressure is static or total | Match both values at the duty point; include the operating range and clean/loaded-filter conditions |
| Electrical supply | AC voltage, phase and frequency, or DC voltage; supply tolerances and input-power limits | Select a compatible motor and drive configuration |
| Control and feedback | Required speed command, such as 0–10 V, PWM or Modbus, plus speed feedback and alarm needs | Confirm the exact model’s interface, signal levels and control behavior |
| Installation envelope | Available length × width × height, inlet/outlet dimensions, fixing points and discharge direction | Review casing, bracket, inlet clearance and access for installation and maintenance |
| Operating environment | Air and ambient temperature, humidity, dust or corrosive exposure, and required protection level | Confirm materials, motor protection and suitability for the actual environment |
| Sound requirements | Noise limit, operating point, measurement distance and whether the limit is sound pressure or sound power | Compare acoustic data on a consistent measurement basis |
| Project and compliance | Target market, required standards or approvals, sample quantity, annual forecast and launch schedule | Agree the documents, validation scope and commercial proposal for the selected configuration |
Maximum airflow and maximum pressure are different endpoints on a fan curve. For a useful comparison, request airflow, pressure, input power and sound data for your required duty point. The airflow unit converter helps align CFM and m³/h specifications.
Define customization before approving a sample
LONGWELL’s OEM review brings the fan, motor and equipment interfaces into one specification. Depending on the chosen family, the review can cover casing and outlet orientation, mounting dimensions, motor supply, speed control, cable and connector requirements, and product labeling.
- Define the duty. Share airflow, pressure, environment, installation space and the equipment’s operating conditions.
- Agree the configuration. Review the proposed family, curve, mechanical drawing, electrical interface and requested customization.
- Validate the sample in your equipment. Check installed airflow, sound, temperature and control response against the agreed acceptance criteria.
- Release the production specification. Confirm the approved drawing, bill of materials, inspection requirements, labeling and order plan before series supply.

Blower OEM solutions: frequently asked questions
What does an OEM blower solution include?
It combines a blower configuration with the mechanical, electrical and control interfaces required by your equipment. LONGWELL reviews the fan family, duty-point performance, installation drawing, motor and requested customization, then agrees the sample and production requirements with your team.
Can LONGWELL supply AC, DC and EC blower options?
Yes. LONGWELL offers AC, DC and EC fan and blower product lines. Available motor options depend on the family and exact model. Send your supply voltage, airflow, pressure and control requirements so engineering can propose a suitable configuration.
Can you customize the housing, mounting and controls?
Yes. The OEM review can address casing and outlet orientation, mounting dimensions, motor selection, cables, connectors and control requirements. The agreed scope is recorded in the proposed drawing and specification for the selected product family.
Can LONGWELL provide a replacement for an existing blower?
Yes. LONGWELL can propose replacement candidates for existing blower applications. Share the current model number, nameplate, curve and installation drawing. Confirm the final choice against the duty point, supply and controls, mounting dimensions, sound limits and equipment validation requirements.
What information is needed for a quotation and sample review?
Send airflow and pressure at the required operating point, electrical supply, available space, inlet/outlet layout, control and feedback needs, operating environment and target-market requirements. Include sample quantity, expected annual volume and project timing. The engineering team uses this brief to review the candidate configuration and supporting documents.
What are the MOQ, sample timing and production lead time?
These depend on the selected model, customization, validation work and order plan. Request a project quotation with your sample quantity, forecast and launch schedule; the commercial proposal will confirm quantities, sample arrangements and the production schedule.
