Customer Requirement
An OEM requires 400 axial flow fans for cooling the outdoor transformer radiator. This project needs to be equipped with cylindrical axial flow fans that can provide airflow of 10,000 m³/h.
The axial flow fans need to be equipped with inlet and outlet safety guards and should have an outdoor protection level of IP55. Other requirements include a maximum input power of less than 0.8 kilowatts. The axial flow fans should be compatible with both 380V 50Hz and 380V 60Hz power systems to meet the needs of different sales regions. Performance verification is conducted according to the ISO 5801 testing standard.
Engineering Solution
The existing axial fan platform of LONGWELL can already meet the airflow performance requirements of the customers. According to the operating point of 10,000 m³/h and 60 Pa required by the customers, the technical team selected the LWAA-630 series axial fans as the most suitable solution. The selected LWAA6D630S-5MEB-01 and LWAA6D630S-5MEB-29 models match the required power.
To meet the complete project specifications, some modifications to the axial fan are needed. The final proposed solution is the model LWAA6D630S-5MYB-04-11. The IP55 protection grade housing design ensures dust and water protection during outdoor installation.

A: Yes. All aerodynamic testing complies strictly with ISO 5801 standards. The two mesh safety guards are a standard part of this assembly. The tests, conducted according to ISO 5801 standards, measure the performance of the fan as a system, so the slight pressure drop from the guards is already factored into the final 10,000 m³/h at 60 Pa performance point.
