Application engineering note

An axial jet fan enquiry needs both a fan specification and a ventilation layout. The intended air movement through the space determines the position, direction and operating sequence of the installed units.
Define the complete assembly
Specify the axial fan, casing, discharge arrangement and mounting supports together. State the required thrust or other project performance criterion, the intended airflow direction and whether reversible operation is required. Include the space available around the intake and discharge, along with structural obstacles shown on the layout.
LONGWELL’s axial fan portfolio includes EC motor configurations in the LWAE family. For any proposed jet-fan assembly, the motor platform, casing geometry and project performance requirement need to be matched as a complete configuration. A bare axial-fan airflow rating does not establish an installed jet-fan layout’s performance.
Agree the electrical and project requirements
Provide the supply voltage and frequency, operating schedule, control signal and required status feedback. An EC motor specification should identify its mains supply and control connections separately. Where the application calls for emergency operation, state the required operating conditions and approvals explicitly in the enquiry.
The ventilation designer should define the acceptance checks for the complete installation. Assembly drawings, mounting details and control documentation then become part of the equipment handover package.
Discuss your fan requirement
Send LONGWELL your airflow and pressure duty point, power supply, available installation space, control requirements, operating environment and drawings. Contact our engineering team to discuss a suitable configuration.
Choose the right axial fan
Longwell manufactures 1,048 axial fans in-house. Send airflow, static pressure and voltage — an engineer replies with a matching model, performance curve and price within one working day.
