EC Centrifugal Fan Integration for Livestock Ventilation

A livestock ventilation fan enquiry should identify the air-movement task within the building: general air exchange, a defined exhaust path or ventilation through connected equipment. The fan selection follows the airflow and pressure required by that particular arrangement.

Match the construction to the air path

LONGWELL’s LWBE family uses backward-curved centrifugal impellers and includes EC motor configurations. Where the proposed system uses ducts, filters or other restrictions, provide their resistance with the airflow requirement.

Describe the air entering the fan, including temperature, humidity, dust and expected contaminants. State cleaning methods and the required environmental protection for the proposed location. The exact fan and motor configuration should be assessed against those conditions.

Coordinate the equipment interfaces

Include the supply voltage and frequency, speed-control input, required feedback and operating schedule. Show the inlet and discharge connections, support structure, cable route and access needed for inspection and maintenance.

The completed building ventilation system needs its own airflow-distribution and control checks. Define those checks with the system designer so the fan is evaluated in the arrangement it will actually serve. Equipment power consumption can then be compared at matching duty points and operating schedules, rather than inferred from the motor type alone.
