One of LONGWELL’s clients was developing a new line of packaged air conditioning units and needed a centrifugal fan that met their strict performance and dimensional criteria. They request a standard 220V single-phase AC centrifugal fan that can deliver up to 3,914 m³/h airflow. The client also limits the installation space. The centrifugal fan needs to be installed in a small area and achieve the required airflow quantity. Besides, the client’s project demanded a wide operational temperature range, from -40°C to +60°C. It is because the air conditioning units were destined for global distribution, including regions with extreme cold and heat.
LONGWELL LWFA-E-250-01 is the ideal choice for our client. The forward curved impeller can meet the requirements of high air volume against low-to-medium static pressure within a small overall size. Its selected external rotor motor design further enhances compactness and provides superior motor cooling as it is positioned directly in the airflow. A: Using a VFD to control this type of motor is not recommended. It may lead to poor performance, increased noise level, and motor overheating.
