Why the Far End Needs Its Own Supply Route

A long utility gallery can have a running fan while its far end receives very little fresh air. The position of the supply outlet changes the route through the space.

A short route can miss the remote end

With supply and return both near the entrance, much of the moving air takes a short route back out. The remote pocket is poorly swept.

Take the supply outlet to the remote zone

An extended duct carries incoming air close to the blind end. Air leaves the duct there and returns through the open gallery toward the entrance.

The duct and gallery have different jobs

Look closer: fresh air travels inside the duct. The return stream travels outside it. Clear separation makes the intended long route possible.

Reach also requires pressure

The extended duct adds resistance, especially at bends and restrictions. Select the operating airflow with the actual duct in place, then verify distribution at the remote zone.
