Customer Requirement
The OEM of aquaculture and water treatment systems approached LONGWELL for a quotation and technical data for six distinct models of oxygenation blowers. They want four models operating on 220V single-phase power, with input power targets of 240W, 370W, 750W, and 1500W. And the other two models require 380V three-phase power, targeting 2200W and 3000W respectively. For engineering evaluation and system integration, the customer required:
- PDF technical datasheets for performance review, including specifications such as airflow, static pressure, voltage, power consumption, and dimensions
- .DWG CAD drawings for direct integration into their equipment
Engineering Solution
The request did not require new product introduction (NPI) or custom development. but rather a technical mapping exercise. LONGWELL’s engineering team performed a technical matching and product selection process to identify blower solution from the existing fan family. Based on the customer’s reference image and application requirements, the team determined that the system required a high-pressure, low-flow air source and pointed directly to the LWHPF series of side-channel blowers. This series is engineered for applications like aquaculture aeration, pneumatic conveying, and vacuum lifting.
The team cross-referenced the customer’s 240W, 370W, 750W, 1500W, 2200W, and 3000W power points with the LWHPF family’s performance data. Six standard models perfectly matched the requirements:
- LWHPF-210A-1: 280/370W at 220V, covering the lower power nodes.
- LWHPF-210A-2: 400/500W at 220V.
- LWHPF-410A-1: 750/830W at 220V.
- LWHPF-510A-4: 1500/1750W at 220V.
- LWHPF-610S-2: 2200/2550W at 380V.
- LWHPF-710S-3: 3000/3450W at 380V.
The selected models use AC induction motors, which are cost-effective and reliable for the fixed-speed operation typical in many aeration systems. The motor and impeller are directly coupled, eliminating belts and pulleys to reduce maintenance points and increase operational lifespan.
Technical Specifications
The following table details the key performance parameters for the six selected LWHPF series models provided to the customer. The range covers small, single-phase units up to larger three-phase blowers for industrial-scale aeration.
| Model Number | Voltage (VAC) | Frequency (Hz) | Input Power (W) | Current (A) | Max Airflow (m³/h) | Rated Pressure (mbar) | Noise [dB(A)] | Weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LWHPF-210A-1 | 220 | 50/60 | 280/370 | 2.0/2.4 | 58/70 | 80/100 | 50/52 | 10 |
| LWHPF-210A-2 | 220 | 50/60 | 400/500 | 2.7/3.0 | 80/96 | 110/140 | 53/56 | 11 |
| LWHPF-410A-1 | 220 | 50/60 | 750/830 | 4.5/5.6 | 145/175 | 120/130 | 63/64 | 15 |
| LWHPF-510A-4 | 220 | 50/60 | 1500/1750 | 10.4/12 | 210/255 | 190/220 | 64/70 | 23 |
| LWHPF-610S-2 | 380 (345-415) | 50/60 | 2200/2550 | 9.7Δ/5.6Y | 265/315 | 220/230 | 67/70 | 27 |
| LWHPF-710S-3 | 380 (345-415) | 50/60 | 3000/3450 | 12.5Δ/7.2Y | 318/376 | 270/230 | 69/72 | 36 |
This data confirms a clear performance progression across the family, enabling the OEM to size the correct blower for different tank volumes and stocking densities. The pressure ratings, from 80 mbar to 270 mbar, are sufficient to support aeration at water depths of 0.8 to 2.7 meters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the typical lead time for a mixed order of 50-100 units from the LWHPF series?
A: For standard Make-to-Order (MTO) of the LWHPF series, the standard sample lead time is 1-3 days and the lead time of bulk order is 15-30 days.
Q: Are these blowers suitable for saltwater aquaculture? What material options are available?
A: The standard models use die-cast aluminum alloy (ADC12) for the housing, which is ideal for freshwater and general industrial aeration. For direct exposure to saltwater or other corrosive environments, we recommend the blowers applying a specialized anti-corrosion coating to all wetted parts. Such customizations are handled through our 90-day NPI process.
Q: Can the speed of the three-phase LWHPF-610S-2 and LWHPF-710S-3 models be controlled?
A: Yes. While the standard units are equipped with fixed-speed AC induction motors, they are fully compatible with external Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). We advise operating the motors within a 25 Hz to 60 Hz range and can provide detailed parameters to ensure motor thermal performance is maintained.
