Regulation (EU) 2024/1834 applies to fans first placed on the EU market from 24 July 2026. If you are replacing AC fans to keep market access, the question is not “which fan is compliant” — it is “which fan is compliant at your duty point.”

(EU) 2024/1834 replaces (EU) No 327/2011. It evaluates the complete fan assembly — impeller, motor, electronics, inlet cone and housing — for fans with electric input power between 125 W and 500 kW, whether sold standalone or built into an AHU, rooftop unit, precision air conditioner or industrial ventilation package.
Three changes matter most to a buyer: higher minimum efficiency grades, a wider assessed system boundary, and a shift toward partial-load behaviour. Expanded obligations on product information, spare parts availability and long-term online technical information apply on top. Full breakdown in our ErP 2026 requirements guide; test a specific duty against Annex II Table 1 with the ErP 2026 efficiency calculator.
1 Find your airflow. Locate the row whose airflow range covers your required volume flow.
2 Check static pressure. Confirm your requirement sits within the band maximum. Maximum airflow and maximum static pressure are two separate extremes — they do not occur at the same operating point and cannot be combined into one duty.
3 Send us the duty point. We return the candidate models sitting closest to their efficient region at that point, with the measured performance data behind them.
352 EC models fall inside the electrical input power band covered by the regulation. Models below 125 W sit outside its scope and are not listed. Every product page in this range now carries an ErP scope note with its estimated input power.
Typically replaces: AHU plug fans, belt-driven AC centrifugal fans, double-inlet forward-curved blowers. Browse the full range: EC Backward-Curved Centrifugal fans →

EC (electronically commutated) drives hold efficiency across the speed range, whereas AC induction motors lose efficiency quickly when throttled or speed-reduced. Because ErP 2026 weights partial-load behaviour more heavily than the previous regulation did, this difference now shows up directly in the assessment.
In our own European retrofit work, EC replacements have delivered energy savings of around 30% against the AC units they replaced, with higher savings on strongly variable loads — the actual figure must be confirmed against the load profile of the specific installation. Worked examples in our engineering cases.
Ø355 mm EC backward-curved fan (LWBE3G355-102NS-33) — the size band most affected by ErP 2026 in AHU and HVAC retrofits.
Performance test on our own rig — the airflow, static pressure and power figures in the tables above come from measurements like this. Third-party reports available on request.
Airflow and static pressure figures are catalogue extremes taken from separate operating points and cannot be combined into a single duty. Input power is derived from rated voltage and current and indicates regulatory scope only. Performance data is obtained using recognised laboratory test methods; third-party reports available on request.
This page explains the regulation and our product coverage — it is not a declaration of conformity for any specific model or project. Final selection must be confirmed against the duty point (airflow / static pressure / voltage / control method) and project verification.
