Why an Inflatable Structure Needs Continuous Blower Air
A continuously inflated structure relies on an ongoing supply of air. Its flexible envelope is not a perfectly sealed pressure vessel: the blower must replace escaping air while maintaining the pressure specified by the structure manufacturer.
Follow the airflow through the equipment
Draw in outside air
The centrifugal blower takes air from its inlet and raises pressure before discharging into the inflation tube.
Deliver through the connection
The tube connects the blower to the flexible structure. A kink or poor connection changes the delivered duty.
Support the envelope
Internal pressure pushes outward on the fabric. Fabric tension and the structure’s restraints maintain the intended shape.
Replace escaping air
Continued supply balances leakage during steady operation. A change in either supply or leakage changes internal pressure.
What the fan contributes
- Supplies continuous replacement air.
- Maintains useful delivery against the internal pressure and connection resistance.
- Provides the duty required by the inflatable manufacturer’s specification.
What interrupts the intended process
- A restricted intake or kinked tube reduces delivery.
- Fabric damage or an open connection increases escaping air.
- Power loss can remove the pressure supply and change the structure’s shape.
Prepare the operating conditions
Share your layout and the operating information below. If a value is still unknown, identify it so the next measurement can be agreed before a model is selected.
Match the fan to this air path
LONGWELL has an inflatable-blower product family supported by its original catalog. Selection must start with the inflatable manufacturer’s requirements. The highest free-air flow or the loudest-running blower does not establish the correct operating pressure.
Where it sits
Outside the inflatable, connected to the inflation tube; inlet remains unobstructed.
Why consider this configuration
The catalog explicitly lists inflatables; continuous supply must match the structure maker’s specified blower, leakage and pressure requirement.
