The objective was to integrate a highly efficient and durable axial fan motor that could operate reliably under extreme environmental conditions while meeting their specific technical and operational requirements.
    Challenges:
    The primary challenge was to develop a fan motor solution that could withstand harsh operating conditions, including wide temperature and humidity ranges, while maintaining high efficiency and reliability. The specific requirements for the fan motor included:
    • Voltage: 400V (Operating voltage range: 304-456V)
    • Current: 4.96A
    • Power Consumption: 1694W (Maximum input power: 2400W)
    • Airflow: 29373 m³/h (17278 CFM)
    • Speed: 1075 RPM
    • Insulation Class: F
    • Protection Type: IP54
    • Lifespan: 40,000 hours (at 40°C, 15-65% RH)
    • Speed Control: 0-10VDC input, with an option for RS485 external control box connection
    • Electrical Protections: Current limiting, over-temperature, over-current, and locked-rotor protection
    • Operating Conditions: Temperature range: -30 to 60°C, Humidity: 30 to 95% RH, Altitude: <1000m
    Given these stringent requirements, the motor needed to ensure long-term reliability, energy efficiency, and adaptability to both horizontal and vertical installation configurations.

    We recommended the EC MOTOR Inline Duct Fan with Intelligent Control, which is specifically designed for ventilation in grow tent applications. This product comes in two models—6-inch and 8-inch duct sizes—each tailored to meet different airflow requirements while ensuring minimal noise impact.
